Our team and its colaborators created a yeast strain expressing GFP (Green Fluorescent Protein) fragmented bi-genomic (encoded by both nuclear and mitochondrial genome) enabling fluorescence to happen only for a mitochondrial subpopulation of proteins that are localised in both cytoplasm and mitochondria. These results were published in Elife.
